Welcome To The Wilderness!
Hi there! I’m Greg, and if you’re are looking for the breakfast bar, you’ll have to look under a few propagation trays, pots and a very dramatic Monstera.
How It All Started
I didn’t exactly have a ‘green thumb’—it was more of a botanical curse. My homes weren’t always an oasis; it all started with a ‘rescue’ succulent that looked like it had given up on life. I decided to see if we could keep it alive, mostly just to prove the local garden centre wrong. Fast forward a few years, and the plants have officially accepted me as their humble servant.
Somewhere between the first new leaf and the fiftieth pot, I’ve realized I wasn’t just growing a collection; I’m growing a home.
Why “Our House Is A Jungle”?
This blog is my digital field journal. I have created this space to log my wins (like finally flowering a Christmas Cactus) and my “learning opportunities” (RIP to the Orchid, Poinsettia and Chrysanthemum of 2025).
Whether I’m battling thrips and spider mites, master-minding a new shelving unit, or debating which plant gets the best sunlight in the living room, We can do it together. I believe that:
- Plants are for everyone: You don’t need to be an expert to start.
- Failure is growth: Every yellow leaf is a lesson.
- Home should be wild: A little indoor greenery makes life a lot more vibrant.
Join the Expedition
I’m so glad you’re here to wander through the vines with me. Whether you’re a seasoned “plant parent” or you just bought your very first Pothos, I hope my stories, tips, and occasional mishaps inspire you to bring a little more of the outside in.
Let’s get growing!
